Melbourne, FL – Warmer and mainly dry weather will continue across East Central Florida today and through much of the upcoming week, but forecasters are urging beachgoers to use caution as a moderate risk of life-threatening rip currents persists along the Atlantic coastline.
According to the National Weather Service Melbourne, west winds will deliver a noticeable warmup today under mostly sunny skies. Afternoon highs will range from 78° to 81°, with similar temperatures expected Monday. Lows tonight are forecast to dip into the mid-50s to low 60s, keeping conditions comfortable overnight.
Monday will continue the pleasant trend as highs reach 76° to 81° with dry conditions holding across Orlando, Daytona Beach, Melbourne, and Fort Pierce. Winds shift slightly but humidity remains low for this time of year.
Slight rain chances return by Tuesday, limited mainly to the Treasure Coast where a 10% chance of an isolated shower is possible. Highs edge slightly warmer, peaking near 78° to 82°, with overnight lows in the 57° to 70° range depending on location.
A similar pattern continues into Wednesday, with highs between 79° and 83°, partly sunny skies, and a small chance of isolated showers once again south of Melbourne. Most inland locations will remain dry through midweek.
By Thursday, temperatures stay warm—generally 79° to 83°—under mostly sunny skies. The broader region remains quiet with no significant weather systems expected through the end of the week.
Despite the tranquil conditions, forecasters stress that rip currents remain a real hazard for those visiting Atlantic beaches. Even experienced swimmers can be caught in fast-moving currents. Beachgoers should swim near staffed lifeguard towers and avoid entering the water during hazardous surf conditions.
