Indianapolis, IN – After a weekend of lingering rain, clear skies and cooler air are set to take over Indiana this week, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Showers will exit the region late Sunday afternoon, followed by dry, breezy, and sunny conditions through midweek. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 30s to lower 40s, with daytime highs ranging from the mid-50s to mid-60s.

Monday is expected to be sunny and breezy, with highs near 64°F to 69°F, while Tuesday and Wednesday bring slightly cooler temperatures and partly cloudy skies. The coldest nights are forecast midweek, when some rural areas could see lows near freezing, prompting potential patchy frost by early Thursday.

Forecasters say the pattern reflects a typical October cooldown, giving the state a stretch of dry, comfortable fall weather after recent unsettled conditions.
