Wilmington, Ohio – Drivers across Clinton County faced thick fog early Friday morning as visibility dropped to just three miles, making the morning commute hazardous. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m., with slow travel expected along U.S. Route 68 and nearby county roads.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, fog should lift by late morning as skies turn mostly sunny, pushing highs near 77 degrees. Calm conditions will persist overnight with lows dipping into the mid-50s.

Sunny skies will dominate through the weekend, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s Saturday and low 80s Sunday. Light afternoon breezes will provide some relief, but dry weather and warm afternoons could extend into early next week.

Travelers should use low beams during the morning fog and allow extra time if heading toward Dayton or Cincinnati. Once fog clears, no major weather hazards are expected through Monday, offering a stretch of favorable conditions for outdoor activities.

The next chance for clouds arrives Monday night, but sunshine is expected to return by midweek.

Five Day Forecast for Wilmington, Ohio:

  • Friday: Dense fog until 10 a.m., then mostly sunny, high near 77.
  • Saturday: Sunny, high near 79.
  • Sunday: Sunny, high near 82.
  • Monday: Sunny, high near 81.
  • Tuesday: Partly sunny, high near 78.
