North Hampton, NH – Commuters faced major traffic delays Thursday afternoon after a travel trailer rollover crash shut down multiple lanes of Interstate 95 in North Hampton.
According to New Hampshire State Police, the incident happened around 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, near mile marker 7.6 on I-95 southbound. Troopers reported that a 2025 Nissan Frontier pickup truck towing a 2025 Grand Design travel trailer overturned, blocking several lanes of the interstate.
Police identified the driver as 74-year-old Karen Lach of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Investigators said the trailer began to sway before Lach lost control, causing the trailer to tip over. The truck sustained only minor damage, but the trailer was heavily damaged. No injuries were reported, and no other vehicles were involved.
For about two hours, three southbound lanes of I-95 were closed while troopers and emergency personnel cleared debris and removed the trailer. All lanes reopened at 3:46 p.m.
North Hampton police, fire crews, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted at the scene. Authorities confirmed the crash remains under investigation.
Residents or witnesses with additional information are asked to contact Trooper Alison Baumbach at the New Hampshire State Police.
