Lombard, IL – A police operation in Lombard led to one arrest Wednesday late morning near Main Street and Roosevelt Road, according to village officials.
The Village of Lombard reported that the Lombard Police Department, working in partnership with a state law enforcement agency, carried out the investigation around 11:50 a.m. Authorities confirmed the case is tied to a criminal matter and emphasized it is not connected to immigration enforcement.
According to the department, the operation concluded with one individual taken into custody. Officials did not release further details about the suspect or the nature of the alleged offense as of Wednesday afternoon.
The village addressed community concerns in a statement, clarifying that no federal agencies—including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)—were involved in the action. “In response to concerns, the Department confirms that no federal agents, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), participated in this operation,” officials wrote.
