Lombard, IL – Lombard residents will have an opportunity to give back in a lifesaving way during the village’s “We Remember” Blood Drive, scheduled for Monday, Sept. 9. The event will be held at two locations, offering multiple chances for community members to participate.

According to the Village of Lombard, donations will be accepted at Yorktown from 8 a.m. to noon and at the First Church of Lombard from 1:30 to 7 p.m. All donors will be automatically entered into a drawing for a chance to win two tickets to a Chicago Bears game in November, along with team merchandise.

The annual event serves as both a memorial and a community service initiative, encouraging residents to donate blood to help save lives. Organizers emphasized that every donation can make a critical difference for patients in need of emergency and ongoing medical care.

Village officials are urging residents to consider setting aside time to participate in the drive, noting that blood supplies often dip following the summer months. Donors are encouraged to visit www.villageoflombard.org/blooddrives for more information on eligibility requirements and appointment scheduling.

“Be a hero – donate blood, save lives,” organizers said in a statement promoting the event.
