Boston, Mass. – Showers and gray skies will hang over Massachusetts through Sunday, but brighter weather is on the way to start the week. Afternoon improvements will bring drier conditions, with sunshine and fall-like air taking over by Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Boston, Sunday highs will only reach the mid-60s before skies clear later in the day. A dry northeast breeze will settle in Monday, keeping temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s, along with lower humidity.

By Tuesday, eastern Massachusetts can expect slightly warmer conditions, with highs in the low to mid-70s and mostly sunny skies. Winds from the northeast could gust 10 to 15 mph, keeping evenings cooler.

Travelers heading into Boston Monday morning should enjoy smooth conditions after a damp weekend. Those along the coast may find it breezy but much more comfortable for outdoor plans. Residents are encouraged to keep light jackets handy, especially for morning commutes when temperatures dip into the 50s.

More stable weather is expected through midweek, with no major storm systems on the horizon.
