Caribou, ME Weather: Storms Bring Gusty Winds and Downpours Through Tonight

Caribou, Maine – Rain and thunderstorms will push across Maine Saturday afternoon into the evening, with the strongest storms expected in the southwest where gusty winds and heavy downpours could slow travel. The National Weather Service warns that the heaviest rain will stretch from the western highlands into east central areas before tapering overnight.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, temperatures will stay humid Saturday, reaching near 80 across interior southern zones and around 70 farther north. A fresh round of rain is possible Downeast Sunday morning, while northern Maine holds on to cloud cover with highs in the mid-60s.

Conditions will improve by Monday as high pressure builds in, but cooler air will settle over the region. Highs will reach the mid-60s north to near 70 south. Patchy frost may develop late Monday night in colder valleys, with some spots approaching freezing by dawn Tuesday.

Sunny skies and comfortable highs near 70 return Tuesday, offering a break before midweek. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with temperatures holding in the low 70s.

Warnings remain in effect for thunderstorms Saturday, with additional advisories possible if stronger storms develop.
