Philadelphia, PA – Another cool night settles over the region Tuesday with lows dipping into the 50s, but conditions will stay dry and comfortable heading into midweek. Highs Wednesday will range from the low 70s in the Poconos to near 82 across Philadelphia, Camden, and Wilmington, under partly cloudy skies.
According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, a gradual warming trend will begin Thursday, with temperatures climbing into the low to mid-80s. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are possible Thursday night and again Saturday, bringing the best chances for rainfall this week. Friday is trending drier, though humidity will rise across much of eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and northern Maryland.
Beachgoers along the Jersey Shore should use caution, as forecasters warn of a moderate risk of rip currents through at least Thursday. Officials advise swimming only at guarded beaches.
Travelers can expect minimal impacts Wednesday, but showers late Thursday could slow evening commutes on I-95, the Atlantic City Expressway, and Route 1 in Delaware. Residents should prepare for changing conditions Saturday, especially for outdoor events.
The weather service says additional updates will be issued if storms strengthen.
