Raleigh, N.C. – Central North Carolina is getting an early taste of fall Tuesday as cooler air sweeps in, dropping humidity and daytime highs into the lower 80s. Morning clouds will give way to partly sunny skies, setting up a refreshing afternoon for much of the Triangle.
According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, highs will top out between 78 and 85 degrees, with noticeably drier air compared to the past week. Overnight, skies turn mostly clear and temperatures will fall near 60 degrees, offering one of the coolest nights since midsummer.
The stretch of pleasant weather will continue through Wednesday, when Raleigh is expected to remain sunny with highs in the upper 70s. By Thursday, a slight chance of showers may return, but conditions will generally stay mild with highs near 81.
Travelers and commuters across Wake, Durham, and Orange counties can expect smooth conditions, though cooler mornings may make early drives more comfortable than recent weeks. Residents are encouraged to enjoy outdoor activities while humidity remains low.
