San Angelo, Texas – Isolated thunderstorms and brief downpours may interrupt travel across the I-10 corridor Tuesday as a cold front sweeps into West-Central Texas, bringing lower temperatures and breezy winds through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in San Angelo, the front will arrive Tuesday and linger into Wednesday, triggering scattered rain chances—especially along the I-10 corridor from Ozona to Junction. Some storms may bring wind gusts up to 20 mph. Winds will shift out of the east and southeast at around 10 mph by Tuesday afternoon, increasing the chance of localized gusty conditions.

While widespread flooding isn’t expected, brief heavy showers could reduce visibility and slick down rural roadways, especially in the early evening hours. Highs will remain in the mid-80s to mid-90s on Tuesday, with slightly cooler conditions expected into Wednesday.

Residents in San Angelo, Eldorado, and Sonora should remain weather-aware and avoid travel during periods of heavier rainfall. Drivers should prepare for wet roads and brief wind shifts.

Rain chances will taper off by late Wednesday, but more updates are possible as the front moves across the region.
