Austin, Texas – Central Texas will see another hot, mostly dry stretch to begin the week, with highs in the 90s across the region and only a slim chance of showers in southern areas. San Antonio, New Braunfels, and Austin are all expected to climb into the upper 90s this afternoon, with heat holding steady through midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Austin-San Antonio, skies will remain mostly sunny to partly cloudy with light east to southeast winds. While most areas stay dry, isolated showers could pop up south of San Antonio. More widespread rain and thunderstorm chances return Wednesday and again next weekend as moisture builds back into the region.

Communities including Del Rio, Uvalde, and Eagle Pass will see highs close to 100°, while the Hill Country holds slightly cooler in the low 90s. Lows will stay mild, hovering in the mid-70s across the region. Drivers and outdoor workers should take precautions against heat stress, with plenty of water and shaded breaks recommended.

Rain chances are expected to climb to 40–50% midweek, which may bring localized downpours and lightning hazards. More organized storm activity is possible next weekend.
