Seattle, WA – A cloudy start to Wednesday will quickly give way to a stretch of sunshine and rising temperatures across western Washington, setting up a warm weekend for the Seattle metro. Highs will climb into the mid-80s by Friday and Saturday, making this one of the sunniest stretches of late summer so far.

According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, skies will gradually clear by Wednesday afternoon with a high near 74 degrees. By Thursday, sunshine will dominate with temperatures reaching the upper 70s, followed by a surge into the mid-80s Friday and Saturday. Overnight lows will stay mild, ranging from the mid-50s to low 60s.

Travelers and commuters should expect lingering morning cloud cover along I-5 and SR-520 early Wednesday before skies clear. Outdoor events, parks, and waterfront areas across Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma can expect ideal conditions by the weekend. With rising temperatures, residents are encouraged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat.

The dry and sunny trend is expected to hold through early next week, with only minor shifts in temperatures. No rain is in the forecast until at least Tuesday, giving the region an extended run of late-summer weather.
