Police: White Ford F-150 Used in $5,000 Arlington Heights Cash Theft Wednesday

Arlington Heights, IL – Police are investigating a brazen robbery in Arlington Heights after two men forced a driver to stop and stole a satchel containing $5,000 in cash.

According to the Arlington Heights Police Department, the victim was driving his silver Toyota on Windsor Drive near Dryden Avenue around 5:47 p.m. on Wednesday when a white Ford F-150 with blue racing stripes abruptly cut him off, forcing him to stop. Both suspects exited the truck, approached the Toyota, opened the driver’s door and took the satchel filled with cash.

Authorities said the suspects are described as Hispanic men, approximately 20 to 25 years old, wearing black t-shirts and black athletic pants, with curly black hair. The men fled in the Ford pickup after the theft.

Police have not confirmed why the victim was carrying such a large amount of money. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or suspects to contact the Arlington Heights Police Department.

The robbery remains under investigation.
