Bourbonnais, IL – Food trucks, live music and family entertainment will take over The Grove next Saturday as the 6th Annual Bourbonnais Food Truck Fest returns for a 10-hour end-of-summer celebration.
According to event information from the Village of Bourbonnais, the festival is scheduled for noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at The Grove. Admission and parking are free.
More than 20 food trucks are expected to participate, offering a variety of savory meals, desserts and other options throughout the day. Organizers are also planning new “Truck Tastes” from participating vendors, with final menus still to be announced.
Visitors can bring lawn chairs and spend the afternoon and evening at the festival, which will feature live music throughout the day, cold beverages and additional entertainment.
Families with younger children will also have access to a Kidz Zone featuring activities geared toward younger festivalgoers.
The event has become an annual summer tradition in Bourbonnais, located in Kankakee County about 50 miles south of Chicago.
Organizers said the final food truck lineup and entertainment announcement are still coming, giving visitors more details to watch for as Saturday approaches.
The festival is presented by Brandon Casey Comfort Crew and supported by numerous local and regional sponsors, including Bank of Bourbonnais, Belson Steel Center Scrap, Court Street Ford, Pavlov Media, St. Mary’s Hospital and ComEd.
With no admission or parking charge, visitors only need to budget for the food, beverages and other purchases they choose to make during the event.
Organizers encourage attendees to bring friends, family, lawn chairs and an appetite for the day.
The 6th Annual Bourbonnais Food Truck Fest begins at noon Saturday, Aug. 15, and concludes at 10 p.m. at The Grove.
