According to the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at a residence on Maddalena Road around 3:20 p.m. Saturday to conduct an Own Recognizance (OR) compliance check on 47-year-old Robert “Bob” McDowell. Deputies say McDowell, who was subject to search and testing conditions, was found inside the residence.
A search of the home allegedly uncovered approximately 53.5 grams of methamphetamine packaged in multiple quantities, along with digital scales, drug pipes, small baggies, and other materials commonly used in drug sales. Deputies also reported discovering modified glassware, vials, and additional paraphernalia consistent with drug use and distribution.
McDowell was arrested and booked into the Plumas County Jail on multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and violation of a court order.
Deputies also arrested 35-year-old Meagan Preston, who was reportedly located inside the home and determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. She was booked for alleged violation of California Health and Safety Code 11550 and taken to jail.
