Saturday will turn mostly sunny, reaching 92°F, before a few late-day storms develop. The warmest day of the stretch arrives Sunday with highs near 95°F under mostly clear skies.

The risk for stronger storms builds early next week. Scattered thunderstorms are likely Monday afternoon with highs near 97°F. Tuesday brings another round of storms late in the day, paired with temperatures in the mid-90s. The weather service notes storm coverage could be more widespread in the Rio Grande Valley and along the foothills.

Residents are urged to limit outdoor activity during peak heat, stay hydrated, and use caution on roadways during sudden downpours. Outdoor evening events may face interruptions from lightning or heavy rain.
