Sacramento, CA – Sacramento residents should prepare for another round of intense summer heat as highs climb into triple digits through the weekend, with Saturday expected to peak near 103°F. Light winds will do little to provide relief, and outdoor activities during the afternoon could quickly lead to heat-related illness without precautions.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will stay near 101°F today before rising Saturday, followed by a high of 102°F Sunday. Overnight lows in the 60s will provide limited cooling. Officials urge residents to limit outdoor work in the afternoon, drink plenty of water, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

The extended heat wave will ease slightly Monday, with highs falling into the upper 90s before a more noticeable drop to the low 90s Tuesday and upper 80s by Wednesday. Clear skies will remain in place, offering excellent visibility for outdoor events, but heat safety remains the priority through the weekend.

Warnings for excessive heat remain in effect through Sunday evening, with cooler temperatures expected to last into late next week.
