Milwaukee, Wisconsin – Scorching heat and late-day storms could collide across southern Wisconsin on Tuesday, July 29th, bringing potential travel hazards and power outages. The National Weather Service warns of heat index values near 100°F and a 40% chance of thunderstorms developing by late afternoon.
According to the NWS office in Milwaukee/Sullivan, a complex of storms is expected to approach after 3 p.m., especially across areas west of I-39 and near the Illinois border. Strong wind gusts may accompany the storms, particularly in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Rock, and Kenosha counties. A Heat Advisory remains in effect for much of the region through Tuesday evening.
Residents should limit outdoor activity, stay hydrated, and delay non-essential travel, especially during peak heat hours from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday’s high will reach 89°F in Milwaukee, but it may feel like 96° or more in urban zones.

- Saturday–Sunday: Partly sunny to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s and no major weather disruptions expected.
