Oklahoma City, Okla. – Scorching summer temperatures are set to intensify across central Oklahoma with a high of 100°F expected in Oklahoma City on Monday, July 28. Heat index values could climb to a dangerous 104°F, prompting a summer weather alert for residents, especially those commuting along I-35 and I-44.
According to the National Weather Service, a dome of high pressure will keep skies mostly sunny and winds light from the southwest at around 10 mph. Monday’s heat will follow an already hot weekend, and conditions will worsen midweek as Tuesday and Wednesday highs reach 101°F. Nighttime relief will be limited, with lows hovering in the upper 70s.
