Binghamton, N.Y. – Sunshine, mild temperatures, and crisp air will greet residents across central New York today, as July delivers another round of pleasant weather before heat and humidity surge back into the region by Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, dry weather and comfortable highs in the 70s will hold steady through Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies and humidity levels staying low. This calm stretch gives way to hotter, stickier conditions by Thursday, when temperatures are expected to climb into the mid-80s and 90s across Binghamton, Syracuse, and Scranton.

By Friday, scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop, especially during the afternoon hours. Commuters and residents in Broome, Tioga, and Otsego counties should keep an eye on changing weather conditions, as pop-up storms could impact travel and outdoor plans. Local agencies recommend staying hydrated, limiting strenuous outdoor activity, and checking for heat advisories as humidity increases.

Saturday could bring more scattered storms before temperatures ease. Enjoy the current stretch of classic summer weather while it lasts, as another round of hot, humid air is expected to settle in for the weekend. Additional alerts may be issued if severe storms develop.
