Fort Worth, Texas – Scattered storms and triple-digit heat are converging across North and Central Texas this week, bringing dangerous conditions through Sunday. Heat index values could hit 104°F in parts of East Texas, with isolated thunderstorms posing lightning and flooding threats from Waco to Sherman.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the most active storm chances will occur Tuesday through Thursday, especially in East Texas. Scattered storms may develop near Canton, Paris, and Palestine, with gusty winds and frequent lightning. Storm chances dip by Friday, but heat becomes the dominant concern through the weekend.
