Seattle, WA – A streak of mild summer weather continues across Seattle as mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 70s set in through Independence Day.
According to the National Weather Service in Seattle, high temperatures will reach 78°F today with calm winds becoming westerly around 6 mph this afternoon. Overnight lows are expected to dip to the mid-50s under mostly cloudy skies. The gradual warming trend continues Thursday with a high near 72°F before climbing again on Friday and into the weekend.
Independence Day celebrations should stay dry across King County with mostly sunny skies and a high around 73°F. Light northwest breezes will make for comfortable conditions during fireworks displays Thursday evening. With no rain in sight, Seattle residents are urged to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and check on neighbors during the warmer afternoon hours. Light winds and low humidity will reduce wildfire risk near the Cascades, though fire restrictions remain in place east of the mountains.
