Northfield, NH – A Franklin man was arrested early Saturday after allegedly driving the wrong way on Interstate 93 in Northfield, leading to a felony arrest.
According to the New Hampshire State Police, dispatch received reports shortly before 2:30 a.m. Saturday of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-93 near Tilton at high speed. Troopers from the Troop D barracks responded and located the car—a 2000 Toyota Camry—stopped in the left northbound lane of I-93 in Northfield, just north of the Canterbury town line.
Authorities said the driver, later identified as Brendon L. Angus, 25, of Franklin, was taken into custody after a roadside investigation. Angus was booked at the Troop D barracks and then transported to Merrimack County Jail, where he awaited arraignment in Concord District Court.
He faces charges of felony reckless conduct with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor driving under the influence, State Police said.
