Reno, Nev. – A prolonged stretch of hot, sunny weather is gripping Reno through Independence Day, with daytime highs nearing 95°F and barely a cloud in sight.

According to the National Weather Service in Reno, temperatures will climb to 93°F Saturday, peak at 95°F on both Sunday and Monday, and remain in the low 90s through midweek. Winds will stay light, shifting from west to southeast at around 5 to 10 mph daily. Overnight lows will dip into the low 60s, offering only modest relief.

Residents across Washoe County should take extra precautions against heat-related illness, especially during the afternoon hours. Stay hydrated, limit strenuous activity, and never leave children or pets in parked vehicles.

Sun Valley, Sparks, and surrounding communities will see similar conditions. With no rain in the forecast and humidity levels low, wildfire danger remains elevated, especially in grassy or brushy areas east of Reno.

Clear skies are expected to continue through at least Wednesday night, with sunny, dry conditions extending into the Fourth of July holiday. No watches or warnings are currently in effect, but the situation could change with evolving fire weather conditions.

📅 Five Day Reno Forecast:
