Fort Worth, Texas – Strong storms will push into western and central Texas tonight, bringing hail, gusty winds, and the threat of localized flooding through Wednesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the most intense storm chances will develop across Central Texas, including Waco, Killeen, and areas stretching eastward to Palestine. While the overall risk for severe weather remains low, forecasters say a few stronger storms could bring damaging winds and small hail, particularly overnight into early Wednesday.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to track from the west—starting near Cisco and Graham—before spreading across the I-35 corridor, impacting the DFW Metroplex, Canton, and Sherman by morning. Urban and street flooding may develop in low-lying areas due to heavy rainfall. Residents are urged to monitor weather alerts and avoid driving through flooded roads.

The National Weather Service recommends securing outdoor items, charging devices, and preparing for possible power outages. Areas previously saturated from recent rain could see flash flooding more easily.

Storm activity is expected to continue eastward through Wednesday afternoon. Additional weather advisories may be issued if severe development increases overnight.
