Detroit, Michigan – Southeast Michigan will see a brief dry spell Tuesday before showers move in early Wednesday, dropping daytime highs across the region into the low to mid-60s.
According to the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac, clouds will increase Tuesday with highs between 68°F and 72°F, but rain returns overnight with a 40% to 60% chance of precipitation Wednesday morning, especially from Ann Arbor north to Bad Axe. Temperatures will struggle to break 65°F through Wednesday, with lows dipping into the upper 40s.
Rain may impact early commutes in Detroit, Pontiac, and Flint. Drivers are urged to allow extra time and check conditions before hitting the road. While showers may linger through Thursday, brief periods of sun are possible later in the day.
By Friday, temperatures will rebound into the mid-70s with isolated showers still possible. Residents should stay weather-aware through the midweek and prepare for cooler, damp conditions.
Additional updates are expected as rainfall timing becomes clearer. Lingering showers may persist into early Thursday before drying out by the weekend.
