Paducah, Kentucky – Storms will continue across southern Kentucky through Tuesday, bringing rounds of rain and possible thunderstorms that could disrupt early-week travel and outdoor plans.
According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, showers will affect much of the region through Tuesday night, with heavier downpours focused in southern counties like Graves, Calloway, and Christian. Monday highs will hover in the upper 60s to low 70s, while lows drop to the 50s in many areas. Tuesday brings another wave of widespread storms and slightly warmer temperatures, with highs reaching into the mid-70s.
Roads may become slick during morning and evening commutes, especially along U.S. 60 and I-24. Residents should watch for ponding on roads and remain alert for localized flooding in low-lying areas.
Relief is in sight midweek. By Wednesday, skies begin to clear and temperatures continue to climb, topping out near 77°F by Thursday. The NWS says drier conditions and increasing sunshine will make for a pleasant second half of the week.
Storm chances fade after Tuesday, but updates may follow if rainfall rates increase or new advisories are issued.
