According to the National Weather Service in Albany, a weak system will move through the area Sunday, bringing a slight chance of showers after 2 p.m. Highs will climb to around 63°F, with northwest winds picking up to 11 mph. Roads may become slick briefly on secondary routes such as NY-5 and Route 85, especially if early afternoon showers materialize.
The real weather shift comes Monday. Memorial Day will bring mostly sunny skies and highs near 70°F, ideal for parades, barbecues, and outdoor ceremonies. A minimal 20% chance of a stray shower remains after 2 p.m., but most of the region will stay dry.
