East Los Angeles, CA – Low visibility and coastal clouds are slowing down East L.A. this weekend, but summer heat is staging a midweek comeback.
According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog will continue through Sunday morning, especially before 11 a.m., reducing visibility and impacting travel on major corridors like I-710 and I-5. Motorists should allow extra time and use low beams when driving through fog-prone areas. Skies will gradually clear by Sunday afternoon, with temperatures rising into the low 70s.
By Monday, the region begins to warm steadily. Sunny skies will dominate through Thursday, with highs reaching 82°F on Monday and climbing to 92°F by Wednesday. The heat, while typical for late May, marks the first significant warm-up of the season for many in East L.A.
Expect mostly clear nights with lows in the upper 50s to mid-60s, making for ideal evenings to cool off. Light southwest winds between 5 to 10 mph could occasionally gust up to 15 mph.
