Manchester, NH – Travel plans and outdoor events in New Hampshire this weekend could be washed out as a potent system brings a rising chance of rain and Saturday night thunderstorms across the region, including Manchester and areas along I-293 and Route 101.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday will bring a 40% chance of showers after 2 p.m., with highs nearing 78°F and calm conditions before winds shift south. But the main concern arrives Saturday, when rain chances surge to 90% and embedded thunderstorms could impact evening activities after 5 p.m. A low near 55°F is expected late Saturday, following heavy downpours between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Showers may linger into Sunday morning, especially before 8 a.m., with partly sunny skies and a cooler high of 71°F later in the day. Those with weekend travel plans should monitor road conditions and avoid flooded areas. Thunderstorm activity could cause temporary power disruptions and reduced visibility Saturday night.

By Monday, skies clear and temperatures bounce back to a springlike 62°F, rising to 64°F on Tuesday and Wednesday. Both days remain mostly sunny and dry, offering a pleasant return to early summer conditions.
