Blacksburg, Virginia – Flash flooding and dangerous travel conditions are possible across southwest Virginia Thursday as scattered thunderstorms bring heavy rainfall to the region.

Affected counties include Montgomery, Pulaski, Giles, and Carroll. Areas near U.S. Route 460 and other low-lying roadways could see water rise quickly, making travel hazardous during the afternoon and early evening.
