Miami, FL – A strong thunderstorm moving through northern Miami-Dade and southern Broward counties is expected to bring gusty winds and small hail through the afternoon, impacting cities including Miami Gardens and Hollywood.

According to the National Weather Service in Miami, the storm was located near Golden Glades at 2:44 p.m., tracking northeast at 10 mph. Radar indicated wind gusts between 50 and 55 mph, along with penny-sized hail.

Impacted areas include North Miami, North Miami Beach, Aventura, Surfside, Hollywood Downtown, and Hard Rock Stadium. Additional cities under threat include Sunny Isles Beach, Bay Harbor Islands, and Pembroke Park.

Forecasters warn that gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow unsecured objects, posing minor damage risks to outdoor property. Residents are advised to seek shelter in a sturdy building until the storm passes.
