Phoenix, AZ – Unseasonably hot spring weather will scorch the Valley this week, with Phoenix forecasted to hit 98°F by Tuesday afternoon. The early-season heatwave could push vehicles and people to their limits, especially along I-10 and I-17 during peak travel hours.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday’s high of 98°F would be among the hottest March 26 temperatures on record for Phoenix. Winds will remain light, offering little relief. Overnight lows will only drop to around 70°F, keeping conditions warm around the clock. Residents are urged to limit strenuous outdoor activity during midday hours, stay hydrated, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

This early spring heat surge is more typical of late May, not late March. Health officials recommend using sunscreen, keeping pets off hot pavement, and avoiding leaving children or animals in vehicles — even briefly.

Tuesday night brings partly cloudy skies and a low around 70°F. By Wednesday, highs drop slightly to 93°F under partly sunny skies before climbing again. The rest of the week remains dry and hot with daily highs in the low to mid-90s.

Phoenix Five-Day Forecast:
