Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Wednesday morning the city could go back to Phase 3 if COVID-19 numbers continue to rise.
The announcement came during a press conference this morning.
“You are getting sick and you are not only putting yourself at risk, you are putting every single person that you come into contact with at-risk,” Lightfoot said, specifically calling out the 18-29-year-old age group.
Lightfoot said young people can minimize the risk by simply wearing face coverings and spread awareness on basic public health precautions.
