Green Bay, WI – A mix of snow, sleet, and rain is expected to blanket much of northeast Wisconsin late Sunday through early Monday, bringing hazardous road conditions and power outage risks to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a winter weather advisory has been issued for northern Wisconsin and Door County. Forecasters predict 3 to 6 inches of wet, heavy snow in these areas, with lesser amounts south of Highway 29 due to rain mixing with snow at times. The greatest impacts are expected between 1 and 5 p.m. Sunday.

Light ice accumulation is also possible in central and north-central Wisconsin, especially overnight Sunday into early Monday. Motorists should prepare for slippery roads and limited visibility, particularly in areas like Green Bay, Sturgeon Bay, and Shawano. Snow is expected to spread west to east, transitioning from wintry mix to all snow by early Sunday morning.

Residents are advised to monitor for updated forecasts at weather.gov/grb, limit travel during peak snow hours, and prepare for possible scattered power outages.

This storm brings a sharp contrast from recent mild weather, and conditions are expected to improve by late Monday morning as the system moves out of the region.
