San Francisco, CA – A frost advisory has been extended for parts of Northern California, with chilly temperatures expected through Wednesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) San Francisco Bay Area, the advisory now includes the North Bay interior mountains. A new frost advisory has also been issued for early Wednesday, warning of temperatures between 32°F and 36°F.
The affected regions include the North Bay Interior Valleys, the newly added North Bay Interior Mountains, Southern Salinas Valley, Santa Lucia Mountains, and the mountains of San Benito and interior Monterey County. The advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday and again from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Residents are urged to protect pets, plants, and pipes from freezing conditions. Those in vulnerable populations should take precautions against hypothermia.
