Nashville, TN – A Flood Watch has been issued for Middle Tennessee from late Friday night through late Saturday night, as heavy rainfall is expected to bring significant flooding risks to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, widespread rainfall between 2 to 5 inches is forecast across the area, with locally higher amounts possible in some locations. Excessive runoff may lead to flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and urban areas prone to poor drainage.

The affected counties include Davidson, Montgomery, Rutherford, Williamson, Sumner, Robertson, and many others across Middle Tennessee. Residents in flood-prone areas are urged to stay alert and be prepared for rising water levels.

Officials warn that creeks and streams may overflow, leading to hazardous travel conditions. Low-lying areas and urban locations with poor drainage are particularly at risk. Motorists should exercise caution and avoid driving through flooded roadways.

The Flood Watch remains in effect through late Saturday night. Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts and be prepared to take action if conditions worsen.
