Fairbury, IL – Prairie Central High School officials reassured parents Friday after police responded to an anonymous report of a potential weapon on campus.
According to a letter from Superintendent Paula Crane, the call came in late, with students already en route to school. Officers from Livingston County and Fairbury Police Departments searched students’ belongings upon arrival but found no weapons. Classes continued as scheduled.
Officials stressed student safety remains a top priority and urged the community to report suspicious activity. Law enforcement is investigating the source of the call.
