Grand Rapids, MI – A stormy weekend is ahead for Grand Rapids and surrounding areas, with rain, thunderstorms, and even some snow in the forecast. The shift from warm spring temperatures to colder conditions will bring gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and the potential for hazardous travel.

According to the National Weather Service, Friday’s warm and sunny conditions will give way to thunderstorms and rain overnight into Saturday. Sunday will bring a mix of rain and snow showers, with temperatures struggling to reach the low 40s. Winds will shift to the west at 8-11 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph. By Sunday night, snow showers remain possible before conditions begin to dry out early Monday morning.

The start of next week will be drier, with mostly sunny skies Monday and a high near 53 degrees. Tuesday will remain pleasant, with highs in the mid-60s before another chance of rain midweek.
