LITTLE ROCK, AR – Rain showers continue overnight in parts of Arkansas, but warmer temperatures and sunny conditions will kick off the workweek before storm chances increase midweek.
According to the National Weather Service, rain will taper off early Sunday morning, with a 70% chance of showers before 3 p.m. Temperatures will climb to around 50°F in Little Rock, with breezy north winds. By Sunday night, skies clear, and temperatures drop to 37°F.
Monday brings sunshine and a much warmer afternoon, with highs near 69°F. Winds shift west at 5 mph, making it a pleasant start to the week. Clear conditions continue into Monday night with a low of 45°F. Tuesday will be even warmer, reaching 75°F under sunny skies.
By Wednesday, clouds return, and temperatures climb to 76°F. However, a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms develops by nightfall, with gusty south winds up to 15 mph. Rain chances continue into Thursday morning before clearing.
Looking ahead, Friday brings another 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 70s. Those traveling along I-40 or in central Arkansas should stay weather-aware midweek as storm chances develop.
