Jackson, WY – A winter weather advisory remains in effect across multiple regions of Wyoming, with heavy snowfall and gusty winds expected to impact travel through early Friday morning.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton, snowfall totals will vary by location. Jackson Hole is forecast to receive 4 to 8 inches, while the Absaroka Mountains could see 6 to 12 inches. Yellowstone National Park is expected to accumulate 3 to 6 inches. Winds may gust up to 35 mph, further reducing visibility and creating hazardous travel conditions.

In the Star Valley and South Lincoln County regions, snowfall accumulations between 3 and 6 inches are expected by Friday morning. Similarly, the North and Southeast Bighorn Basin could see 3 to 6 inches of snow from Powell to Burlington, while other areas may receive 1 to 3 inches. Winds could reach 35 mph overnight, increasing the risk of blowing snow and slick roadways.

Further south, Rock Springs, Green River, and East Sweetwater County are forecast to receive 2 to 4 inches of snow, with gusts up to 35 mph Thursday afternoon and evening.
