New York, NY – A burst of winter weather will sweep through New York City on Tuesday, bringing rain and gusty winds before spring warmth returns later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected early Wednesday, with accumulations of up to two inches in parts of the city. Wind gusts could reach 25 mph, making for slick and blustery conditions during the morning commute. Temperatures will hover in the low 30s before rising into the mid-40s by the afternoon.

Drivers should exercise caution on roads, including the FDR Drive and I-95, as icy patches may develop. Pedestrians are also advised to bundle up as wind chills will make it feel much colder. While Tuesday’s snow won’t be a major storm, it marks a brief return to winter before a warm-up later in the week.

By Wednesday, temperatures will climb into the upper 40s with partly sunny skies, giving way to a milder stretch. Thursday and Friday will see highs in the mid-50s, offering a taste of spring weather before another cool-down expected over the weekend.

The five-day outlook shows a mix of sun and clouds through Saturday, with temperatures fluctuating between the upper 40s and mid-50s. Rain showers are possible late Friday into early Saturday.
