New York, NY – New Yorkers can expect a mild and sunny Friday before temperatures take a sharp dive heading into the weekend. Friday’s high will reach 47°F under mostly sunny skies, but a shift in wind direction will bring much colder air by Saturday.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday will be breezy, with west winds at 10–15 mph making it feel slightly cooler. Friday night brings increasing clouds and a 20% chance of showers after 1 a.m. as temperatures drop to 42°F.
Saturday will be noticeably colder, with a high of just 56°F before dipping to a frigid 27°F overnight. Sunday will be even colder, with a high of only 34°F and clear skies. Overnight lows will fall to the low 20s, making for a chilly start to March.
Looking ahead to next week, Monday and Tuesday will remain sunny but cool, with highs in the upper 30s. By Wednesday, another weather system could bring rain back into the region. Stay prepared for changing conditions as we transition into early spring.
