Orland Park, Ill. — The Taste of Orland Park returns on August 1 through August 3. The Village shared new information with details about the annual event in a press release on July 9.
Sponsored by Northwestern Medicine, the Village of Orland Park will be hosting its 22nd annual Taste of Orland Park at the Village Center. Guests can enjoy music, food and entertainment at this event. Entertainment highlights include a Battle of the Bands contest on Friday, live band karaoke and Family Feud game show on Saturday, and Orland Park’s Got Talent on Sunday.
The event will kick off from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1. Then the Taste is open 3:00 to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, and 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3.
Orland Park restaurants will participate in the event, and guests can purchase food and beverages from these vendors on site. Restaurants include Barraco’s, Buona Beef, Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant, Joey’s Red Hots, Orland Ale House and The Original Rainbow Cone along with others.
Headlining performers include the 1980s tribute band “Sixteen Candles” on Friday, classic rock artists Tommy DeCarlo and Jason Scheff on Saturday, and “One Vision of Queen Featuring Marc Martel” on Sunday.
Free parking is available for the event at the Orland Township lot, Orland Park Public Library, Red Lobster west lot and the 143rd Street parking garage.
During the event, Ravinia Ave will be closed between 147th and 149th streets. Guests are allowed one sealed water bottle but no other outside food or beverages. Bags will be inspected at entry. Lawn chairs and blankets are allowed.
