Waukesha, WI – Families across Waukesha County and the Milwaukee area can take part in a free, inclusive Trunk or Treat event this October at the Waukesha County Expo Center.
According to the Waukesha County Sheriff ’s Department, the family event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026 , from 10 a.m. to noon at the expo center, located at 1000 Northview Road in Waukesha .
The event is being promoted as an inclusive celebration for children and families. A flyer shared by the sheriff’s department features the message “All Kids Equal” alongside Halloween themed pumpkins and ghosts.
Trunk or Treat events typically give children an opportunity to collect candy and treats from decorated vehicles gathered in a centralized location. The format can offer families an alternative to walking door to door through neighborhoods during traditional trick or treating.
Admission to the Waukesha event is free, according to the sheriff’s department’s announcement.
The Oct. 17 gathering comes roughly two weeks before Halloween, giving families another seasonal activity ahead of Oct. 31. The morning schedule may also make the event convenient for families looking for a daytime Halloween celebration.
The Waukesha County Expo Center is northwest of downtown Waukesha and serves as a venue for community gatherings, fairs and other local events.
Anyone planning to attend should note the scheduled two hour event window, with activities beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at noon.
