La Crosse, WI – Warm and breezy conditions will give way to cooler temperatures across the La Crosse region this week, but dry weather is expected to continue through Friday, Oct. 9.
According to the National Weather Service in La Crosse, Tuesday will feature highs ranging from 73 to 80 degrees across the region, along with gusty southerly winds. Temperatures will remain above average even after a weak cold front passes.
The front is expected to move through late Tuesday night into early Wednesday. No precipitation is indicated with the front, and the NWS expects dry conditions to persist through the remainder of the workweek.
Wednesday will be cooler, with regional highs ranging from 68 to 74 degrees. Overnight lows are forecast between 38 and 49.
The coolest afternoon arrives Thursday, when highs are expected to range from 63 to 68 degrees. Thursday morning lows could fall as low as 36 degrees in some locations, while other areas remain in the 40s.
Temperatures begin to rebound Friday, with highs between 65 and 70 degrees and lows ranging from 45 to 55.
The temperature ranges shown by the NWS cover its broader forecast area, so individual communities, including La Crosse, may not experience the highest or lowest values displayed.
Residents should expect Tuesday's warmth and breezy conditions to ease after the weak cold front, followed by cooler but still above average and dry weather through Friday.
