Harvey, IL — Skyline Provisions, Inc., based in Harvey, Illinois, is recalling about 5,620 pounds of raw ground beef due to potential foreign matter contamination, as announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). 

The recall includes two products: “SKYLINE PROVISIONS, INC. GROUND BEEF 81/19” and “GROUND BEEF 75/25,” each in 20-pound boxes with specific item numbers. Affected products, produced on August 19, 2023, bear the establishment number “EST. 19300.” They were distributed to institutions in several Northeastern states and Wisconsin. 

The recall follows a customer complaint about a foreign object found in the beef. There are no reported illnesses or injuries. Institutions possessing these products are advised to discard or return them. For inquiries, check the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline for food safety questions.
