Green Bay, WI – Another round of rain is expected to move across northeastern Wisconsin Wednesday night into Thursday, followed by cooler temperatures and the possibility of a few snowflakes across far northern portions of the state Thursday night.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a temporary break in rainfall Wednesday will end as another system brings showers into the region later Wednesday night, Nov. 4.
Overnight temperatures are expected to range from 40 to 48 degrees across the forecast area, keeping precipitation primarily in the form of rain.
Thursday will remain unsettled, with additional rain showers possible across northeastern Wisconsin, including the Green Bay metropolitan area and surrounding Brown County communities.
Afternoon highs Thursday are forecast between 44 and 54 degrees, with cooler conditions developing as the system moves through.
Farther north, temperatures could become cold enough Thursday night for a few snowflakes to mix with precipitation.
The National Weather Service specifically highlighted far northern Wisconsin as the area where snowflakes are possible. No significant snowfall accumulation was indicated in the forecast.
By Friday, conditions will begin improving as rain moves out and clouds gradually decrease.
Friday is expected to be the coolest day of the forecast period, with afternoon highs ranging from 41 to 47 degrees.
Residents traveling along Interstate 41, Interstate 43 and other major highways should remain prepared for wet pavement during periods of rainfall Wednesday night and Thursday.
Saturday will bring a return to drier weather, with partly sunny skies and afternoon temperatures ranging from 45 to 51 degrees.
The National Weather Service expects temperatures to settle closer to seasonal averages through the end of the week.
For Green Bay and surrounding northeastern Wisconsin communities, the main weather concern remains another round of rain before a cooler, quieter weekend arrives.
