Kanawha County, WV – Deputies are asking for the public’s help locating numerous horror themed collectibles and action figures stolen during a burglary, with investigators now tracing some of the property to flea markets in West Virginia and Kentucky.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff ’s Office, detectives received information indicating some of the stolen items may have been sold at the Milton Flea Market in Milton, West Virginia, on Sept. 5 , and the Hillbilly Flea Market in Ashland, Kentucky, on Sept. 12 .
Authorities are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who attended either flea market on those dates and purchased or saw horror related items being sold from a red Toyota RAV4 .
The sheriff’s office said those items are believed to be connected to its ongoing burglary investigation.
Images released by investigators depict several horror themed collectibles, including dolls, figures and other memorabilia associated with well known horror characters. Authorities have not provided an estimated value for the stolen property or specified how many items remain missing.
The sheriff’s office also has not publicly identified any suspects in the burglary.
Investigators are asking people who may have purchased items from the vehicle, witnessed the sales or have other information about the stolen property to contact law enforcement.
